Native American Collection - Read Full Bio
The Native American Collection at the South Dakota Art Museum consists of over 900 objects representing the late 19th and 20th Century Native American culture. The South Dakota Art Museum collections include materials of cultural, historical and aesthetic interest. The collection consists of pieces collected by numerous donors. The collections are distinguished by objects including clothing, quillwork, moccasins, headdresses, bags, beadwork, pipes, pottery, baskets and tools from the North American Plains; pottery, jewelry and rugs from the southwest and baskets and carvings from the Northwest Coast of North America.

HOURS: Mon - Fri: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sat: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sun: 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
